How Acai is good for your body.. Is Acai’s Vitamin Content bad for you?

I recently read about the tremendous health benefits of the Acai Berry. Then I found out on the nutritional information on the back that it contains Vitamin K. I have little knowledge of Vitamin K, but have begun to wonder of its dangers since reading in Chatelaine that Vitamin K actually thickens the blood and promotes strokes and blood clogs in the heart. Can anyone help? Is Vitamin K bad? And Is the Acai Berry as healthy as people promote it to be?

“The recommended dosage of Vitamin K (25-year old male is 120 micrograms per day, in some cases one can take up to 1000 mcg of Vitamin K1) won’t hurt you. It is true that Vitamin K helps blood clot and its deficiency causes extensive bleeding (hemorrhage). Vitamin is stored in the fats tissues and some allergic reactions are possible but still no Vitamin K toxicity is known with the high dosage. Our body needs vitamin K for the posttranslational modification of certain proteins mostly for blood coagulation. Vitamin K is produce by bacteria in the intestines and its deficiency is only possible in case of vessels damage. The shortage of Vitamin K also causes liver diseases, Intestinal disease. Hemorrhagic disease in the newborns develops due to Vitamin K deficiency and can lead to brain damage. Its fewer intakes leads to more fractures and bone density reductions. Though the best sources of Vitamin K are Bacteria and intestines, however it can be gained from food sources such as green vegetables such as spinach, and Swiss chard, cabbage, kale, cauliflower, broccoli, and Brussels sprouts and fruits like avocado and kiwifruit. Spinach and other green leafy vegetables have more vitamin K in them than Acai.

Acai is actually a good choice as it is riches in antioxidants and Vitamin K as well.  The pure and original Acai berries have more antioxidants than any other fruit. Nutrients in a good quality Acai berry supplements can help you to cure many diseases like blood sugar, arthritis, blood clotting and it’s also an amazing energy provider. Acai can also be a great weight loss aid. The Acai berry has natural essential fatty acids, fiber, phytosterols and amino acids work that all together to help your body burn fat efficiently and process food quickly. Acai has good anti-aging benefits, it cleanses and detoxifies your body and also destroys cancer cells in recent studies. Acai is good multivitamin source with highest amounts of Vitamin C, D and K.”

A little bit of Vitamin K won’t hurt you. It is true that Vitamin K helps blood clot. I personally know quite a bit about clotting and vitamin K, as I have 2 blood conditions that predispose me to clotting. This is not to say that if you ingest vitamin K you will suddenly have blood clots. This is not true.

In fact, low bone mineral density is often associated with low vitamin K levels and a vitamin K deficiency can compromise bone health. Unless you already have a condition that promotes excessive clotting, I wouldn’t worry about it. Besides, people are generally deficient in vitamin K these days due to the abundance of fast food and processed carbohydrate-laden junk food.

Furthermore, spinach and other green leafy vegetables have more vitamin K in them than acai does. Again, I wouldn’t worry about the vitamin K concentration of acai.

On the other hand, you have made a good choice by looking into acai. Let me tell you what I recommend, and then I’ll tell you why…

I recommend you get a free trial of Extreme Acai from the source link below. This is the product I use, and honestly I feel better every day. If you don’t like it, just don’t reorder it… but you’ll like it. =)

Now let me tell you why I recommend Extreme Acai over all other acai supplements…

Acai berries have far more antioxidants than any other fruit. Even more than blueberries! Besides that, the nutrients in acai berry supplements help many other diseases and maladies, from diabetes to arthritis to blood clotting. It really is a worthwhile supplement to add to your daily nutrition.

Acai can also be a great weight loss aid. The berry’s natural concoction of essential fatty acids, fiber, phytosterols and amino acids work together to help your body burn fat more efficiently, process food more quickly and shed the unwanted pounds that you’d like to lose.

The fatty acids and amino acids aid in both muscle development and proper digestion, both of which are essential to fat loss. The fiber helps your body to move food out of your system quicker and also to help you feel full, as do fatty acids. Phytosterols help fortify your digestive tract, moving waste materials out and absorbing nutrients more efficiently.

Acai has great anti-aging benefits, will cleanse and detoxify you, and has destroyed cancer cells in recent studies. You really can’t go wrong by adding an acai supplement to your daily vitamin regimen. So far it’s working for me by helping my digestion and by giving me more energy each day… I don’t even get sleepy around 3pm anymore.

Get a free trial of Extreme Acai by clicking the source link below. Best of luck to you!
